Cranial-Sacral Therapy

A unique form of treatment that involves accessing the entire body through the oceanic tide-like system of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which bathes the brain and spinal column. This modality harmonizes the nervous system by accessing the cranial bones, spinal vertebrae and sacrum. Calm, subtle, and deeply transformative, this work can stand on its own or be performed in concert with other techniques to support profound relaxation, heal trauma, relieve headaches, and create lasting structural change.

Hendrickson Method of Orthopedic Massage and Manual Therapy

An advanced system of orthopedic therapy that brings together a dynamic combination of massage, mobilization, and neuromuscular re-education synthesized with Eastern energy practices. Precise and extremely effective, the Hendrickson Method is a suitable therapy for most orthopedic conditions including low back pain, whiplash, and rotator cuff injuries. This exceptional system of functional rehabilitation uses techniques that stimulate the synthesis of new cells, re-hydrates cartilage, and realigns soft tissue. At its core is a one-of-a-kind stroke called wave mobilization®, so named because its gentle rocking motion mimics ocean waves.  This profoundly relaxing form of therapy relieves acute and chronic pain by releasing muscles, joints, connective tissues and relaxing the nervous system.

.

Integrative Massage

Draws from a multitude of therapeutic modalities based on the specific needs of the individual. Swedish massage is used to relax and restore circulation to muscles and nerves, Deep tissue manipulation breaks up adhesions in muscle and fascia, Myofasical techniques release constricted connective tissue, and energetic work is used to restore balance between the emotional body, Chakra system, and endocrine centers. An Integrative Massage allows the client to stay deeply relaxed and journey inward to experience deep release and profound integration.

Prenatal Massage

Designed specifically for the expecting mother, this treatment provides relaxation and relief from stress and tension. Massage therapy during pregnancy can enhance the function of muscles and joints, improve circulation, and provide relief from mental and physical fatigue. Our therapists utilize appropriate strokes and careful positioning in order to provide a comfortable and supportive experience for moms-to-be.

.

Post-Natal Massage

New mothers receive restoration and balance with massage techniques that encourage the body back to its pre-pregnancy “home”. Massage helps to relieve tension in the shoulders and neck from carrying and feeding your newborn, revitalize the spine, and calm the nervous system. In addition, hip/low back pain and potential digestion issues can be avoided by massaging scar tissue if you have had a Cesarean section birth.

.

Rolfing® Structural Integration

A holistic, therapeutic system of bodywork that utilizes soft tissue manipulation and mobilization techniques, as well as movement education and re-patterning. Developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf more than fifty years ago, Rolfing® addresses structural relationships that limit bodily function and movement, and aims at alleviating physical pain while teaching the body how to support itself and adapt to an ever-changing life and world.

Swedish Massage

One of the most well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage combines broad, kneading strokes toward the heart, as well as vigorous, tapping strokes to orchestrate a rhythmic massage experience that can be both relaxing and energizing. The many benefits of Swedish massage may include enhanced circulation of blood and lymph, the restoration of supple range of motion in the joints, and a noticeable reduction of stress in both body and mind.

A therapeutic and nurturing form of bodywork. It fluidly incorporates deep muscle pressure, assisted stretches, acupressure, joint mobilization, and energy work. Thai Massage helps relieve tension and clear energy blockages, bringing the client a greater sense of relaxation and well-being. The ancient healing art of Thai Massage has been practiced for over 2,500 years to maintain health and vitality.

.

Therapeutic Massage

An advanced form of massage therapy that treats the soft-tissues of the body, the joints and the nervous system. A wide range of hands-on techniques such as deep tissue massage, muscle energy techniques, passive stretching and neuromuscular reeducation address imbalances within the client’s musculoskeletal system. Treatment can result in better healing, a reduction in injuries and the enhancement of flexibility and athletic performance. Because therapeutic massage is designed to treat medical conditions, its practice requires extensive training by a skilled therapist.
