Pilates FAQs

How do I start Pilates?

We recommend that all clients begin with at least one Private Pilates lesson. Following your initial lesson your teacher will recommend your next steps and advise you on the best course of action based on their assessment and your specific needs and goals.

What results can I expect to see from practicing Pilates?

With consistent Pilates work, you will notice improved posture, increased strength and flexibility, fewer aches and pains, increased flexibility and greater stamina.

What if I have injuries – can Pilates help me?

The Pilates Method has many variations and approaches, which make it an exceptional tool for rehabilitating from an injury. At BoulderBodyworks, our lessons are tailored to fit your personal needs. We pride ourselves on having the professional expertise to help anyone who walks through our doors. Whether you are looking to strengthen and tone your body, improve posture or relieve pain, we can help.

Do I have to make a reservation for classes?

A reservation will guarantee your space in a class. Due to small class sizes, we strongly recommend making a reservation. Drop-ins are welcome, but are subject to availability. You may check online or call to check availability.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. Normal workout apparel is recommended. Either socks or bare feet are acceptable. If you choose to wear socks, we recommend exercise socks with grips on the soles to prevent slipping.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

No. We have thick, premium exercise mats in the studio.

Bring your completed New Client Form on your first visit or arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete it in person.
